Rewording.io is a credit funded writing suite: paraphrasing, summarising, expanding, grammar, plagiarism checking, a co-writer and an AI detector, all behind one balance. If you are replacing it, decide whether you need the whole suite again or just one piece of it, because the honest answer changes what you should buy.

The site positions itself as "Write better texts with our Rewording Tool" and describes improving writing through paraphrasing. That framing matters. Rewording.io does not advertise itself as a way to defeat AI detectors. It does not name Turnitin or GPTZero as targets, it does not publish a bypass rate, and it does not use the word undetectable in its pitch. Plenty of people use paraphrasers for that purpose anyway, but the site is not selling it, and that is worth saying plainly in a category where most competitors do.
The paraphraser accepts up to 10,000 characters, offers adjustable rephrasing intensity from 45 to 100 percent, tone selection and automatic language detection, and takes input by paste, drag and drop or document upload.
The full tool list, taken from the feature array the site's own billing API returns for paid plans, is: Paraphraser, Summarizing Resizer, Expanding Resizer, AI Detector, Plagiarism Checker, Co-Writer and Grammar Checker, plus all languages supported, all density levels, and no ads or captcha.
Behind the front end sits a live API hosted on DigitalOcean. It responds: the authentication and billing endpoints returned HTTP 200 with real data on request. The tool endpoints themselves are gated behind Google reCAPTCHA, so we could not run a paraphrase or an AI detection from outside a browser. We are therefore making no claim at all about output quality, in either direction. What we can confirm is that the backend is live and serving.
Rewording.io's pricing page renders in the browser from its own billing API. We queried that API directly. These are the plans it returns as visible.

The custom slider is corroborated by the site's own FAQ, which states: "Our cheapest plan starts at just 20 credits for $1.60." The FAQ also notes that plagiarism checking consumes 5 credits per use, so credits are not one to one with actions across every tool.
One caveat on the pricing, stated because it is true rather than because it is damaging. The same billing API also returns several plan rows flagged as hidden, at different prices to the visible ones. We have quoted only the rows marked visible, which are the ones the pricing page displays. If you see a different number on their site, that is the likely explanation, and it is a normal thing for a company to do.
The free tier is genuinely minimal: one paraphrasing credit, with every other feature flag returned as false, including languages, density levels, plagiarism checking and ad removal. Google advertising scripts are present on the site, which is consistent with "No Ads / No Captcha" being sold as a paid benefit.
Three observations, all verifiable, none of them accusations.
No named operating company. We could not find a legal entity anywhere. The site's own translation bundle stores the company name as the literal string "Rewording " and the copyright line as "Copyright © 2023 . All rights reserved", with the year stuck at 2023 and the entity slot left empty. Contact is hello@rewording.io and nothing else. There is no registered address, no jurisdiction and no named individual.
Boilerplate legal text. The privacy policy content is present in the site's data, and part of it directs readers to consult an article from a "Privacy Policy Generator". It covers Google DoubleClick DART cookies and third party advertising partners, which fits a site funded partly by ads, but it reads as a template rather than a document written for this product.
Client rendered legal pages. Requesting /terms or /about returns HTTP 200 but the server sends the homepage shell with no page specific content. The pages assemble in the browser. That is normal for this kind of application and is only worth knowing if you were trying to archive them.
Against those, the product itself is clearly maintained: live Stripe and PayPal plan identifiers, a working billing API, an affiliate coupon and payout system, a survey endpoint and a public roadmap endpoint all exist in the shipped code.
If your work is rewriting, summarising, expanding or checking grammar and plagiarism, Rewording.io covers more ground than TextSight does and you should probably stay with it.
Specifically, keep it if:
TextSight does one thing: it tells you what an AI detector sees in a piece of writing. The box at the top of this page is the production detector.
It returns a score from 0 to 100 in three bands. Under 30 reads as likely human written, 30 to 69 as mixed signals, 70 and above as likely AI generated. It needs at least 25 words to score anything.
Without an account you get 3 checks a day, pooled across the AI Detector and the Document Detector, capped at 1,000 words. A free account raises that to 60 checks a day at 5,000 words and saves every scan to Scan History, which free accounts get too. Starter is 200 a day, and Pro and above are unlimited.
The engine is an English only ensemble of DeBERTa, RoBERTa and ELECTRA. It carries a known false positive bias against writers who learned English as a second language. That is published in the product rather than buried, because these scores get used in decisions about people.
Beyond the score, Starter adds sentence level analysis and PDF export, along with file upload, URL scanning and bulk scanning. Pro adds a Chrome extension and a REST API. Business adds team features and branded reports.
Prices are $9.99 a month for Starter, $19.99 for Pro, $39.99 for Business and $79.99 for Enterprise, with annual billing 25 percent cheaper at $7.49, $14.99, $29.99 and $59.99.
The overlap between the two products is narrow. Rewording.io includes an AI Detector among seven tools; TextSight is the detector and builds everything around it. If detection is incidental to your work, one tool that does a bit of everything is the better buy. If detection is the work, it is not.
