KazanSEO runs an AI GPT-X Detector inside a wider SEO toolkit. The detector needs a free account with a verified email, and a $9 per month subscription adds the Chrome extension, the premium detector, the bulk detector and the detection log. Here is what changes if you replace it.

Two things are not published anywhere we could find: a word or character limit for the standard detector, and any statement of how the model was built or evaluated. We are not going to guess at either.
One observable detail worth knowing before you rely on it: the site is client rendered, so blog URLs that still appear in search results return the empty app shell, and the app's router has no blog route. Product screens load normally.
Four reasons come up repeatedly, and all four are structural rather than a complaint about quality.
The account gate. There is no anonymous paste box. You sign up, click a verification email, then check text. If your use case is "someone sent me a paragraph and I want a second opinion in ten seconds", that is friction.
Bulk means URLs. The bulk detector takes up to 200 URLs per batch and scores the pages behind them. That is excellent for auditing a site you already own or are buying. It is not the same job as scoring 200 pieces of pasted text, and if that is what you need, the bulk feature will not do it.
One price, one bundle. $9 per month buys the extension plus the premium and bulk detectors. There is no larger seat based tier published, and no published team or reporting layer. Agencies that need to hand a client a branded document usually end up screenshotting.
Single operator risk. The site's own copy describes the origin plainly: "With a coding background I decided to create my own tools to help me where other tools were lacking." That is a legitimate way to build software and it keeps the price low. It also means the roadmap and the support queue belong to one person.
Be honest with yourself about which of these you actually use, because they are not easy to replace.
You audit whole sites, not paragraphs. Feeding 200 URLs into a batch and getting back a probability per page is the fastest way to triage a content library you inherited, or to sanity check a site before you buy it. If that is your weekly job, KazanSEO is doing something most detectors do not offer at all.
You want detection while you browse. The Chrome extension plus the detection log means you can check pages as you find them and keep a record afterwards. That workflow suits link prospecting and competitor research.
You want the whole SEO kit in one login. Keyword clustering, SERP overlap between keyword sets, a content optimizer and a text extractor sit in the same account as the detector. Replacing the detector alone means keeping the KazanSEO login anyway, so the saving is smaller than it looks.
The price is genuinely low. $9 per month for the paid detector tier, with a usable free tier underneath it, is at the bottom of this market. If budget is the binding constraint, stay.
Whatever you move to, test these five things with your own text before you pay for anything:
1. Can you check without an account? Anonymous checks matter more than people expect, because they are what you use when you are in a hurry or on someone else's machine. 2. Does bulk mean text or URLs? Ask explicitly. The two features share a name and do different work. 3. Is there a record of what you scanned? Detection is only useful later if you can find the result again. 4. What happens on writing by non native English speakers? Every English trained detector we know of, ours included, skews toward false positives on writers who learned English as a second language. Test that case deliberately. 5. Is the score explained? A single number with no sentence level view is hard to act on and harder to defend if someone disputes it.

The limitation to weigh: our detector is an English only ensemble built on DeBERTa, RoBERTa and ELECTRA, and it carries a known false positive bias against writers who learned English as a second language. If your content is multilingual, neither our tool nor a per URL SEO audit is the right instrument, and you should treat any score on non English text as unusable.
